Our Story
From the Ground Up
CM Combs Construction was founded in 2011 by Chris Combs with a straightforward philosophy: do the job right, treat people fairly, and let the work speak for itself. What started as a small operation has grown into one of the Northshore's most trusted general contractors.
Over the past decade, we've delivered 39+ projects ranging from government courthouses and fire stations to churches, hotels, medical complexes, and multi-million dollar commercial developments. Our largest single project exceeded $12M.
We remain an owner-operated firm by design. Chris Combs is directly involved in every project — from pre-construction planning through final closeout. This isn't a company where you talk to a salesperson and never see them again. The person who shakes your hand is the same person managing your project on site.

With over 20 years of experience in the construction industry, Chris has built CM Combs Construction into a firm known for delivering complex projects on time and within budget. His hands-on leadership style means senior decision-making happens on site every day — not in a distant corporate office. Chris personally manages subcontractor relationships, oversees quality control, and ensures every project meets the standards that have earned the company's reputation.
